About the service

netdog.ai is a dog pedigree registry platform that lets you record dogs and their family trees, calculate inbreeding metrics, and browse breed statistics. If the domain petproject.ai hadn't already been taken, it probably would have been called that. It is not an official breeding organization or kennel club, and it does not replace official pedigree registration.

Who runs this

netdog.ai is run by a private individual as a non-commercial hobby project. There is no registered company behind it. If you have a question or an issue, you'll find our contact details under Contact.

Account

You sign up with a Google account. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. Google sign-in doesn't verify this, so it's on you. Your Google account name and profile picture appear publicly on the site, for example as your dog's administrator, so keep that in mind. You are responsible for your account and for any activity carried out through it.

Content you record, and the reliability of pedigree data

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter (dogs, pedigree data, photos) and for having the right to publish it. The content stays yours, but by uploading it you allow us to display and store it as part of the service. Pedigree and family-tree data is entered by users, so we don't guarantee its correctness. Anything you find in the system is used at your own risk. Deliberately entering false or misleading pedigree data is not allowed.

AI-based pedigree recognition

Automatic data extraction from a pedigree photo is a convenience feature: it can make mistakes, so always review the extracted data after uploading and correct it if needed before saving.

Marking dogs as for sale

Marking a dog as "for sale" and setting a price is an informational listing only. netdog.ai is not a marketplace: it doesn't take part in the transaction between the parties, doesn't process any payment, and takes no responsibility for the seller's or buyer's information, the dog's health, or how the deal is carried out. Any sale happens strictly between the users, at their own risk.

Choosing a dog responsibly

We take no responsibility for dogs found or purchased through this site. Every puppy is cute, but using common sense and taking responsibility when choosing a dog is not optional.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service for unlawful purposes, to harass others, or to bulk-record misleading data. Automated, bulk scraping of data from the site without our prior permission is also not allowed.

Reporting incorrect or problematic content

If you find inaccurate, false, or infringing data about you or your dog on the site, let us know via the contact details under Contact. We'll review the report and correct or remove the affected content if needed. We also reserve the right to remove inaccurate, false, or abusively recorded content on our own initiative.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as-is, free of charge, as a hobby project, without any guarantee of availability or being error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for damages arising from your use of the service.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings. In case of abuse, we reserve the right to restrict access.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll try to notify users of significant changes. Since this is a hobby project, the service may be paused or discontinued at any time; we can't guarantee otherwise. That's not the goal, we just want to be upfront about what we can actually promise.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Hungarian law. If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the rest remain in effect.
